We are Team Donaldson so will be reading different books by Julia Donaldson throughout the year. We will also focus on a different traditional tale each half term so that we can learn them very well.

Autumn Term
This term, our whole school topic is A Tale to Tell. We will be learning about ourselves and our own stories, animal stories and so much more.
Our Julia Donaldson story this half term is The Gruffalo and our traditional tale is Snow White.
During our phonics sessions, we will be focusing on developing our listening skills to hear sounds. We will also be introduced to the first sounds in phase 2 which include s a t p i n.
During our Early Maths sessions, we will be starting to think about matching, sorting and comparing.
This half term, we will continue to join Story Dough to help us to develop our vocabulary and fine motor skills which helps us get ready to write. Once we’re ready, we will start to join Drawing Club too!
